Wrestling starts at 10:30am
COST: $20 include 8 hours of Clinics with two 2X NCAA CHAMPIONS
Gene Mills will do a clinic from 8:30am to 10:30 while we bracket the tournament
Jake Herbert will follow with a clinic from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Cafeteria
Gene Mills will do another clinic from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Jake Herbert will follow with a clinic from 2:30-4:30
Jake Herbert is preparing to represent the U.S. in the World Championships in September
This year alone he has won the NCAA National Championships, U.S. Open National Championships, the U.S. World Team Trials and was voted the Most outstanding wrestler in College Wrestling. He is a beast on Top! I predict he will be America’s next great interntional champion—perhaps a world or Olympic Champion!
We will also feature: Mean Gene Mills! 2X NCAA Champion and Pan American Games Champion. 2X World Cup Champion and the winner of the Tbilisi tournamen in the former Soviet Union. Gene has more pins in NCAA College wrestling history than any other wrestler ever—he was also featured on MTV’s most popular MADE episode ever!

Great weekend for Cal-High Wrestling!
California High wrestlers’ performance was solid this past Saturday at Canyon High. Five condors returned with medals Nick Mercado 3rd place, Mark Gonzalez 3rd place, Juan Rosales 3rd place, Joseph Carranza 2nd place and Captain Anthony Zepeda returned home with 1st place. Great performances by Elias M, Miguel Rosales, Mike Maldonado, Torrey Moreno and Andrew Garcia all who placed 4th, missing a medal by one match.
On another note, California High Coach, Jason Buzzard, competed this weekend in Las Vegas atUFC’s Grapplers Quest. Coach Buzzard came home with two medals of his own. Congratulations to all!

The advanced technique camp is for those who are serious about improving their skills as a wrestler and who seek to strengthen their knowledge of the sport of wrestling. Every wrestler will be exposed to the basic fundamentals along with new and challenging technique taught by some of the best clinicians in the country. This camp gives an in-depth look at preparation, position, and execution of technique. Whether it is the basic stance position or a complicated finish, this camp will teach technique that is successful at the highest levels.
Wrestlers must be 12 years of age or older to attend this camp (exceptions may be considered with experience). Female wrestlers are welcome and will be housed in a separate dorm.
2009 Session Dates and Information
The Advanced Technique Camp will be held:
- August 3-7
Check-in will be from 12:00 - 2:00pm on the 3rd. Check-out will be at 12:00pm on the 7th. Details will be mailed out during the month of June, but please feel free to contact us with any questions at any time.
Location
The camp will be held at The Academy by the Sea located in Carlsbad, California. It is centered on a sixteen acre campus perfectly situated on the Pacific Ocean, thirty-five miles north of San Diego and eighty miles south of Los Angeles. Map

(Please note that due to changing schedules, not all clinicians are guaranteed to be at each camp. The quality of the head clinicans will stay the same).

$100 deposit is required to secure a spot (with registration form)
**Remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the camp start date**
